چکیده
Cucumber is an important type of vegetable that grown in high quantities. Abiotic stress factors can cause significant morphological, physiological and molecular changes cucumber. Grafting on strong rootstocks reduce this negative effect. This study was carried out to evaluate the genotoxic potential salinity cucumber determine effect grafting genotoxicity. Non-grafted grafted plants were treated with 100 mM NaCl ISSR profiles compared after 15 days. Using 14 primers, 51.9% polymorphism detected between all groups. While decreased GTS rate 47.2%, it determined could be increased (%72.4-79.5) grafting. similarity indices gave similar results concluded technique effective determining There also differences measurements rootstocks. With study, may genomic template stability cucumber, parameter protected by depending rootstock variety used, used provides a basis for investigating mechanisms underlying response stress.

In this research, twenty genotypes of cucumber (Cucumis sativus) were studied that were collected from different geographical regions. The experiment was conducted as a randomized complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications in Greenhouse. Data was collected on morphological features, yield and components of yield of cucumber which include: Total fruit yield per pickling, Fruit number pe...
متن کاملPhotochlorophyll Biosynthesis in Cucumber (Cucumis sativus, L.) Cotyledons.
The formation of protochlorophyllide and protochlorophyllide phytyl ester was investigated during etioplast biogenesis in order to study the biosynthetic relation of these two compounds. Protochlorophyllide accumulates slowly during the first 2 days of germination, its rate of formation increases sharply during the 3rd day, and then it decreases. Protochlorophyllide phytyl ester starts accumula...
متن کاملAgrobacterium-Mediated Transformation in Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)
Introduction. Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is an important horticultural crop. Its fruits are used for slicing and pickling and juice extraction worldwide. In India, both the fruits and seeds have long been used in the manufacture of traditional medicines that act as skin conditioners, diuretics and body coolants. Thus, cucumber is a potential candidate for an edible vaccine (6). In India, stu...
متن کاملEffects of Acifluorfen on Endogenous Antioxidants and Protective Enzymes in Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) Cotyledons.
The herbicide acifluorfen (2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenoxy-2-nitrobenzoate) causes strong photooxidative destruction of pigments and lipids in sensitive plant species. Antioxidants and oxygen radical scavengers slow the bleaching action of the herbicide. The effect of acifluorfen on glutathione and ascorbate levels in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) cotyledon discs was investigated to assess ...

Ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) is a stable and effective chemical mutagen. In this study, cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv. “Shannong No. 5”) seeds were treated by 1% EMS for 12 h, 24 h and 48 h to optimize EMS mutagenesis and determined median lethal dose of EMS (1% EMS and 24 h) for “Shannong No. 5”. After treated by 1% EMS for 24 h, 541 M1 plants were grown in greenhouse for phenotype investiga...
